Courses for Schools
At Crafts for Everyone we provide a variety of different courses for Schools. These can be taught at our new teaching facility located within the premises of our Social firm, alternatively we can come along to your School.
We can provide curriculum based lessons for a wide age range of pupils from primary to sixth form, SEN and problem pupils are our speciality. Choose from one of our off the shelf courses or have one custom made to fit your needs.
- We can provide Lesson and Session plans for your course so you don’t have to.
- We can cover elements of Art and Design, Design Technology and PSE.
- Your course can be as long or as short as you like.
- All lessons taught by our qualified teacher and Ceramic Designer. Key Stages 1-4 and SEN no problem. Course material and booklets, if needed, can be provided. We can even set homework for next lesson.
- It’s not just for the pupils. Inset days and “How to Teach Pottery” courses are available for Teachers too.
- Why not introduce your pupils to the concept of ‘Enterprise.’
From a couple of hours to a whole term, we can provide a course for you. For example, simple hand building, advanced ceramic design or fine art sculpture. We can also offer work experience, manufacturing ceramic items or working with our disabled adults and young persons in our therapeutic suite. We also offer work placement schemes to young adults as they leave school or college. This is ideally suited to those pupils with extra learning needs, or those who are particularly vulnerable.
If you wish to see our exempla course material or would like to arrange a meeting to discuss your requirements, please contact our ceramicist who will be happy to advise you.

During our 10 year anniversary celebrations, 4 schools came to the pottery for a pottery making session. Nicola, the head mistress from The Bryn School, Pontllanfraith, sent us a lovely E-mail,below is an extract from that email.
” Please may I take this opportunity to thank Huw and the other adults for the fantastic session with our children this afternoon. I have just spoken to the staff and the children who thoroughly enjoyed the experience.”
